Not only does sage have a potent, savory flavour great in soups, stuffings, and stews, but beneficial insects and pollinators also are attracted to it and feed on its flowers.  Harvest leaves and cut back before flowering to encourage more young growth, or leave it to flower for the bees.  This is a good companion plant for carrots and brassicas, but you’ll want to keep it away from your cucs. You might not see flowers in the first year.  Perennial to zone 5.  Plant out 20ish inches apart in full sun, or grow in a larger pot. (3-1/2in pot)
