Roma Tomatoes- Half Bushel (Pre-Order)

1/2 bushel. These are the best tomatoes for making tomato sauce and canning.  Unlike other types of tomatoes, they have more ‘meat’ and less ‘juice’.  This means that you won’t have to boil them nearly as long if you’re making a sauce.  They are good for making salsa or freezing too.  To freeze them, simply wash, run through a blender/food processor, and fill your freezer containers.

1/2 bushel is roughly 25lbs or 18 quarts.

We’ll email you to confirm the day and time for pick up when the tomatoes are ready. Our farm pick up days are Thursday evenings from 4-7pm. Or Saturday mornings between 10am and noon.

Bulk roma tomatoes are farm pick up only.

*Note for veggie box members:  Half bushels of tomatoes are NOT included with your membership, so orders placed using points will just be refunded.
