Celery Salt
Easy to prepare. Convenient to have on hand.
Use it as a meat rub or put it to work as a soup seasoning. It’s especially good in tomato soup. Try it out on side dishes of rice and veggies.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 part dried leaf celery
- 2 parts salt (can be fine or coarse depending on intended usage and preference)
What To Do:
- Crumble the dried Chinese celery using your fingers, mortar and pestel or food processor..
- Combine the celery with the salt and mix well.
- Store your finished celery salt in an air tight jar and use as needed.
Here’s a quick tip:
Mix in about 1/5th grains of uncooked rice and fill a salt shaker with it for convenient seasoning. The rice will help to prevent the salt from getting hard in the shaker.
That’s it!
