Celery Salt

Easy to prepare.  Convenient to have on hand.

Use it as a meat rub or put it to work as a soup seasoning. It’s especially good in tomato soup. Try it out on side dishes of rice and veggies.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 part dried leaf celery
  • 2 parts salt (can be fine or coarse depending on intended usage and preference)

What To Do:

  1. Crumble the dried Chinese celery using your fingers, mortar and pestel or food processor..
  2. Combine the celery with the salt and mix well.
  3. Store your finished celery salt in an air tight jar and use as needed.

Here’s a quick tip:

Mix in about 1/5th grains of uncooked rice and fill a salt shaker with it for convenient seasoning. The rice will help to prevent the salt from getting hard in the shaker.

That’s it!
